What to say when you see something that catches your attention
Sheikh ’Uthaymeen raḥimahullāh said:
If someone sees something he likes in his wealth, he should say:
⏺ما شاء الله لا قوة إلا بالله
'This is what Allāh has willed! There is no power except with Allāh,' like in the story of the companions of the two gardens when one of them said to the other:
﴿وَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذۡ دَخَلۡتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلۡتَ مَا شَاۤءَ ٱللهُ…
Female Qur'ān teacher required to help fellow sisters improve their reading skills.
This is not a paid role. The incentive supercedes any financial gain:
'Uthmān ibn 'Affān (May Allāh be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,
"The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur'ān and teaches it." [Al-Bukhāri]
This was the same incentive that motivated Abū 'Abdirrahmān As-Sulami to continue holding regular Qur’ān classes in the Great…
Holding lengthy discussions during marriage meetings
Sheikh Uthaymeen raḥimahullāh said:
"...She is a stranger (ajnabiyyah) like any other woman in the market. This (speaking to a potential suitor for lengthy periods) is not permissible. The Sharia has exempted something from a matter that is forbidden. This is a rule that a student of knowledge must be aware of. If the shariah exempts something from a matter that…

Firstly, it should be without seclusion.
Secondly, it should not be accompanied with lust/desire, for if one looks…

Concerning the ḥadīth: "The most despised of all ḥalāl affairs to Allāh is divorce"
Sheikh Abū Muhammad Abdulhamīd Al-Zu' korī -may Allāh grant him success said:
▪️This ḥadīth is NOT AUTHENTIC. Bukhārī and others have said it is defective.
▪️Divorce may be wājib at times, like, if the man engages in immoral acts, or if the husband is negligent in fulfilling his rights towards his wife, she can request a divorce.…
May Allah reward you with goodness and treat you kindly. Our brother mentions an incident during one of the obligatory prayers, where during the Maghrib prayer, the imām recited Sūrah Al'-Alaq. When h
Sheikh Fawzān ḥafidhahullāh answered:
Their prayer is valid if they bowed straight afterwards; I.e. As soon they realised their mistake, they stood up and bowed and caught up with the imām - their prayer is valid; because they are excused for lagging behind. However, if they did not bow and immediately caught up with the congregation for the remainder of the prayer, then, if they realised their mistake shortly…
The sister's side mistakenly performed rukū' when the Imām said Takbir for sujūd At-Tilāwah
The imām pronounced Takbir and prostrated for sujūd At-Tilāwah (prostration of recitation), but some of the followers, especially among the women, bowed, thinking that the imām had pronounced the Takbir for bowing, only realising after he had risen from prostration. What is the ruling on their actions? And what if the…

Cooking is an act of worship if the intention is right
Question: May Allāh reward you with goodness and treat you kindly. Our sister says that she enters the kitchen from after 'Aṣr prayer to prepare the ifṭār meal and does not leave until Maghrib adhān. What is the ruling on that? [She says] It is worth noting that I do not prepare a lot of food and dishes, and I listen to some religious tapes while I am in the…
