I was discussing about hijrah with someone and he said: you say hijrah is to go from bilaad al kufr to bilaad al islaam how did the Prophet go to Medina it wasn't Islamic?

However, if we brush off the surface and dig a little deeper, we find some serious issues which should make us cautious of this man.
