Today we begin going over the final subchapter from Kitab At-Tahara (إن شاء الله) where we will discuss issues related to menstruation. Sisters are highly advised to tune in on the live stream [https://t.me/MarkazUthman] at 6:00 PM (GMT). Please note, we will pause streaming mid-way to offer Isha Salah (6:29ish - 6:50ish) and then resume shortly afterwards Insha'Allah.

The latest upload (https://t.me/alawe1434/31212) is an explanation of our Sheikh's collection of daily Adhkar (الاختيار لأهم صحيح الأذكار), taught by Sheikh Khaleel…
Under the explanation of this ḥadīth in Fat-ḥul Bāri, Ibn Ḥajar relays the answer of Aṭ-Ṭabari to the above question. Aṭ-Ṭabari raḥimahullāh said: “They were punished because they never implemented wh
Pay attention to An-Nawawi's speech: “There are two [distinct] duties required from him...(1) to enjoin good and forbid evil within himself, and (2) to enjoin good and forbid evil with others.”
These people fulfilled the second duty (forbidding others); did they do it sincerely - الله أعلم, but they definitely failed in fulfilling the first duty (enjoining good and forbidding evil within themselves).
Perhaps some of us won't appreciate the love people have for books because we live in a time where we are busy with ->📱

When news of this reached Sheikh Turki Al-’Abdeeni (one of the scholars of Yemen known for their efforts in the field of musṭalah ḥadīth), he said:
كأنك بشرتني بمولود
“It felt like you gave me news of a new baby.”
That was just an online copy, so if you are into ḥadīth and can afford this, get your hands on it Insha'Allāh.
Sheikh Turki has authored some excellent books of his own حفظه الله, check them out here…
I received this yesterday, so 99 days left approx. Take this as a reminder to repay back any missed fasts. It's winter in most places, so fasting is as easy as it gets.
● Is it legislated for a sinner to enjoin good and forbid evil?
Imām An-Nawawi raḥimahullāh mentioned:
“The scholars said: It is not required for the one who enjoins good and forbids evil…
Additional benefit shared by Abu Fajr ḥafidhahullāh:
Here Sheikh Fawzān ḥafidhahullāh is asked regarding a person whose daughter is diagnosed with a severe illness which doctors are unable to treat, the person was advised to change his daughter's name so that perhaps this will be a means for her to be cured.
Sheikh Fawzān rejected this claim in his answer and stated that changing a person's name has no influence on removing sickness.
“With regards to the influence a name has on a person, this is with relation to emotional/intangible matters, not physical matters. May Allāh bless you. And this issue was mentioned by Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah Almighty have mercy on him, and others, that the name may have an influence on the person carrying the name. For example, some of them name themselves "Sharārah" (sparks), I mean, it's feared that something…
I have a question, I wonder if you can answer it in shaa allah, and if you can’t can you direct me to someone who can? In the Hadith attached it’s mentioned that sorrow followed the man named sorrow right? Does this Hadith also apply for physical characteristics mathalan if you name a child tall for example then they grow to be tall as they age would it be wrong to say that (by the permission of Allah ‏عز وجل)…
Ruling on wearing contact lenses
Sheikh ’Abdul ’Azīz ibn Bāz raḥimahullāh was asked: Umm Khaled, A.A. from Ar-Riyadh says: ... I wear colored lenses at home to beautify myself for my husband, so what is the ruling on wearing lenses? Guide us in this light?
A: If it strengthens the eyesight then there is nothing wrong with it, similar to glasses. But if it is [worn] for beautification then it is better and more…

"Muttafaqun ’alayhi" (متفق عليه) in ḥadīth terms refers to a ḥadīth reported by both Bukhāri and Muslim in their Sahih compilations respectively from the same Companion.
Most of us are familiar with this usage because it is the same usage adopted by most of the scholars.
But did you know that Abul Barakāt Al-Majd ibn Taymiyyah (the grandfather of Sheikhul Islam ibn Taymiyyah) adopted his own usage of this term in his "Muntaqā"?!
So when he writes (متفق عليه), he actually means the ḥadīth is reported by Bukhari, Muslim & Imam Ahmad!
That's why scholars encourage us to begin…
