BENEFIT 192: Removing members because they have images on their profile icons!
Question: In public groups, some people have images on their profile icons. Should we remove them or be patient with them?
Sheikh Abul Yaman 'Adnan Al-Maṣqari ḥafidhahullāh responds:
"We advise our brothers who call to Allah through these social platforms, whether WhatsApp or Telegram, to focus on spreading good, the Sunnah, and Tawheed, and enjoining good and forbidding evil.
We advise that one should not spy on…
One of the most stress free way to teach little kids is to take them on a car ride (family visit, shopping, etc) and play whatever you want them to learn by setting it on repeat.

True Beauty
Sheikh Abu 'Amr ḥafidhahullāh said:
A woman should be content with what Allah, the Almighty, has apportioned to her.
A woman may not possess natural beauty, but her piety enhances her beauty, and this is true beauty - as Allah says:
﴿یَـٰبَنِیۤ ءَادَمَ قَدۡ أَنزَلۡنَا عَلَیۡكُمۡ لِبَاسࣰا یُوَ ٰرِی سَوۡءَ ٰ تِكُمۡ وَرِیشࣰاۖ وَلِبَاسُ ٱلتَّقۡوَىٰ ذَ ٰلِكَ خَیۡرࣱ﴾

The questioner asks about the ruling on intentionally passing wind in the masjid.
Sheikh Yahya ḥafidhahullāh responds:
Intentionally doing so is not permissible if one has the option to step outside, as it causes harm. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever eats garlic or onions, let him stay away from us," and in another narration, "let him not come near our masjid." He also said that the angels are irritated by what…
"If one commits to a condition imposed upon him, then it is obligatory for him to fulfill it. This is based on the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: "The most deserving of conditions to be fulfilled are those by which you have made marital relations lawful." Yes, even though the marriage contract makes her his wife and it is permissible for him to consummate the marriage, common custom ('urf) dictates that mere agreement of…
"The principle in this matter is to adhere to customary practices ('Urf). Therefore, it is not permissible for him to consummate the marriage before announcing it as long as this is the custom.
The solution is for him to agree with the woman's guardian to bring forward the date of the marriage announcement. He should host a modest banquet without overburdening himself with expenses he cannot afford.
He must avoid…

This is why it's best to perform Ḥajj through official routes. If you can't afford Ḥajj through the official route, the obligation of Ḥajj is uplifted, so there's no need to risk your life.

Don't be hasty in seeking revenge against those who have wronged you
Al-'Allāmah Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
«وإن العبد ليشتد فرحه يوم القيامة بما له قبل الناس من الحقوق في المال والنفس والعرض. فالعاقل يعد هذا ذخرا ليوم الفقر والفاقة، ولا يبطله بالانتقام الذي لا يجدي عليه شيئا».
"Certainly, the servant will rejoice immensely on the Day of Judgment over the rights owed to him by others in terms of wealth, life, and honor. So, the wise person considers this a…

Question: I decided to leave the final year of university fearing fitnah upon myself. I never took out student loan as my parents payed for my tuition. How do I go about informing them of my decision?
Answered by Sheikh Nawwas Al-Hindi ḥafidhahullāh

Any poetry that is recited in a melodious manner is considered Inshaad. It is said, أنشد الشعر if one recites poetry [melodiously]. This is the origin. However, Inshaad may also refer to the mere reading of poetry; from the angle of الإعلان (announcing), such as إنشاد الضالة (announcing a lost item). This is found in scholarly texts; for instance, إنشاد الشعر في المسجد
reciting poetry in the masjid.
As for…
Based on the above differences, it may be said that "sample 1" comes under permissible Inshaad, while "sample 2" falls under forbidden Nasheed. والله أعلم
I asked Sheikh Ḥasan Bā Shu'aib ḥafidhahullāh about "Sample 2" and he affirmed that it falls under Nasheed.
Sheikh Muḥammad Hishām Aṭ- Ṭāhiri said regarding "Sample 2":

The accompanying sounds, commonly…
