24. Beggars in the name of ’ilm and da’wah set a bad example for others
25. Begging opens the door for wealthy donors to have a negative influence on the da’wah

BENEFIT 34: Some of the harms of begging in the name of ’ilm and da’wah
1. Begging is a major sin
The Prophet ﷺ said: “a person continues Begging until he comes on the day of judgement with no flesh on his face.” [Bukhāri & Muslim]
2. The Sharī‘ah has forbidden begging except in exceptional circumstances, so anyone who begs outside this category has violated the evidences and disobeyed Allāh and His Messenger.…
BENEFIT 33: Begging falls contrary to abstinence, which is among the principles of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamā’ah
Imām Abū Bakr Al-Ismā’ēli deemed abstinence to be a principle from the principles of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamā’ah, and he stated that acquiring knowledge must be accompanied by this principle.
He raḥimahullāh said: “They (Ahlus-Sunnah) consider (from their principles) acquiring knowledge and seeking it from its…
“It does not kill the prey, nor does it defeat the enemy, but it may break a tooth or gouge out an eye.”
[Reported by Bukhāri & Muslim from the ḥadīth of ’Abdullāh ibn Mughaffal raḍhiyallāhu ’anhu]
This ḥadīth applies to slingshots, pellet guns, paintballing, and similar apparatuses.
🔺Note: The rulings related to the 'Eid Khuṭbah vary from that of the Friday Khutṭbah!
15. It's recommended to remain silent during the ’Eid Khuṭbah, but if there's a need to mention something, you can do so quietly without disturbing others.
16. If no Khuṭbah is established because there's no competent Khaṭīb, there's no sin upon them, because the 'Eid Khuṭbah is not obligatory - rather it's a highly encouraged.
17. During the Khuṭbah the khaṭīb stands on the ground facing the people without…
[Part 2] How to offer Ṣalātul ’Eid
This is the final class in this series
1. When you arrive at the Muṣallā, you should sit down in rows. There is no Taḥiyyatul masjid for entering the Musallā. There's no Adhān, no Iqāmah, and no voluntary prayers to be offered before nor after the ’Eid Ṣalāh.
2. Continue saying takbīr out loud until the Imām arrives.
3. When the Imām arrives you should stop saying the takbīr…
When Sheikh ’Uthaymīn raḥimahullāh was asked about fireworks, he said:

2. Sisters can sing and dance amongst themselves - without musical instruments (with the exemption of the duff). The lyrics must not fall contrary to the Sharī‘ah and they must not be heard by strange men.
3. Brothers can recite poetry
4. Wrestling
5. Go-carting

11. The Sunnah is to proceed to the Muṣallā via one route and to return via a different route. It was narrated from Jābir raḍhiyallāhu ’anhu who said: “On the day of ‘Eid, the Prophet ﷺ used to vary his route.”[ Bukhari]
12. You should greet fellow Muslims with a cheerful face and share meals with the righteous amongst them

In this lesson we will cover the sixth and final matter in this series; what relates to ’Eidul Fiṭr. This lesson will be divided into two parts. In part 1 (this class), we will mention a systematic schedule that a Muslim should observe on ’Eidul Fiṭr, and in part 2 we will go through some of the issues related to Ṣalātul ’Eid.
[Part 1]
We will begin by mentioning 3 introductory points:
POINT 1. Definition of…
Sheikh ’Abdulḥamīd ḥafidhahullāh said:
«وقد قدره شيخنا يحيى حفظه الله بما يوازي خمس علب من علبة الأناناس المعروفة، وقدره بعضهم بما يوازي أربع علب من علبة الشربة التي تسمى الشوفان»
“Our Sheikh Yaḥya ḥafidhahullāh estimated it to be equivalent to five cans of the standard can of pineapple, and some of them estimated it to be equivalent to four cans of oatmeal porridge.”
