A lion wanted to eat them, but he couldn't fight all three at once. So, the lion went to the red and black bulls and said: "Let me eat the white bull. He is different from you. If you let me eat him, I wonโ€™t hurt you." They agreed, and the lion ate the white bull. Later, the lion said to the black bull: "Let me eat the red bull. Iโ€™ll leave you alone." The black bull agreed, and the red bull was eaten. Then, when the black bull was alone, the lion came to eat him too. Right before being eaten, the black bull said: "I was eaten the day the white bull was eaten." Lessons: - If you donโ€™t help others in trouble, your turn will come. - Dividing people makes it easier to defeat them. - We are stronger together! Usage: During the Houthi siege of Dammaj, Sheikh Yahya frequently quoted this proverb as a wake-up call to the Yemeni tribesmen, many of whom remained inactive while innocent students and their families were being massacred. The Houthis employed a strategy of divide and conquer, fully aware that they could not prevail if Ahlus-Sunnah remained united as one body. Now, as we hear news of Zionist bombings in Damascus, I share this same proverb as a timely reminder.
