Nutmeg

Question: We have heard that eating a large amount of nutmeg causes intoxication. Is this true, and what is the ruling on eating it? Sheikh Muqbil rahimahullah: Yes, we have also heard the same. Based on this, its consumption would be considered ḥarām. And Allāh is the One whose help is sought. One of our brothers once ate it, and we were informed that it caused a change in his state.
