Nutmeg

Sheikh Muhammad Al-’Ansi ḥafidhahullāh states:
"Nutmeg, based on what we’ve seen, is an intoxicating substance. Some people use it in food or drinks because it adds flavour. But it is still counted as an intoxicant, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whatever intoxicates in large amounts, even a small amount of it is forbidden.”
So, nutmeg should be avoided. It should not be added to food, and other spices should be used instead. There are many ḥalāl spices that can give flavour without using nutmeg.
If someone doesn't know, or if the amount used is very tiny and disappears in the mix, some might say it doesn’t matter. But the ḥadīth shows that even then, it’s not allowed: “Whatever intoxicates in large amounts, a small amount of it is ḥarām.”
And Allāh knows best.
