Straightening The Rows in Prayer in The Case of Women The (female) questioner asks: When women line up in rows, do they place their ankle against the ankle of the woman next to them, and their shoulders against each other's shoulders? Sheikh Fat-h Al-Qadasi hafidahullah: The answer is yes. This practice is Sunnah for both men and women. [One of the Companions (1)] said, "One of us would place his ankle against the ankle of his companion (while standing in prayer)." Thus, placing the shoulders close together and aligning the feet is part of the Sunnah and a command of the Prophet ο·Ί. It also perfects the straightness and alignment of the rows. ------------- (1) https://t.me/madrasatuna/3373
