Is It Permissible for Women to Wear Fragrance If They Remain in the Car? The questioner says: A woman states that she leaves her house to go to her familyโ€™s house by car while wearing perfume. Does the ruling in the hadith apply to her, which says: "Any woman who applies perfume and passes by people so that they may smell her fragrance is a fornicator"? Sheikh Yahya hafidahullah: A woman should not leave her house wearing perfume, even if she is in a car, as she may need to step out for some reasonโ€”such as entering her family's home or the likeโ€”and her scent may become noticeable. Therefore, she should not go out wearing perfume, in accordance with the hadith: ((ูˆู„ูŠุฎุฑุฌู† ุชูู„ุงุช)) "Let them go out unperfumed (without fragrance)."
