Will women veil themselves from men in Paradise? Sheikh Yahya hafidahullah: Paradise contains what Allāh, the Almighty, described in His saying: β€œTherein are [maidens] restraining their glances, untouched before them by man or jinn” β€” meaning, they lower their gaze and are devoted to their husbands. The Prophet ο·Ί said, in reference to his ascension or in a dream he saw: β€œI saw a palace, and I asked, β€˜Whose is this?’ It was said, β€˜For β€˜Umar.’ I saw a woman performing ablution therein, and were it not for your sense of protective jealous (O β€˜Umar), I would have entered.” This indicates that no one enters upon another man’s wives in Paradise. Among the perfections of bliss in Paradise is that no one is tried or tempted by another’s family, whether by looking at them or otherwise. The delight in the Hereafter for the people of Paradise is greater and more complete than that of this world. The scholar will be resurrected as a scholar, and the one who died as person of chastity will be raised in that same state β€” whether male or female.
