Is a Man Required to Pay His Wife's Zakat Al-Fitr If Marriage Takes Place Before Eid but Consummation Happens After? Sheikh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen stated in Sharh Al-Mumti‘ (6/170): "If a man contracts marriage with a woman during Ramaḍhān but does not consummate the marriage until after ‘Isha prayer on the night of Eid, he is not responsible for providing her with the Zakātul Fiṭr, as he is not obligated to support her until she is in his custody."
