The Opening of Masjid Ash-Shākirīn

In the Name of Allāh, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Praise be to Allāh, whose blessings upon His servants are countless, and whose favours upon His chosen ones are abundant. As Allāh Almighty says: "And if you were to count the favours of Allāh, you could not enumerate them." Among the great blessings bestowed by Allāh upon Ahlus-Sunnah in general, and our Somali brothers in particular, is the opening of Masjid Ash-Shākirīn during this blessed month—the month of the Qur'ān and blessings. May Allāh reward those who contributed to its construction, sacrificing their wealth and efforts to complete it, and tirelessly overseeing its progress. Their dedication is no surprise, as it has always been their way. If not for their sincere desire to avoid praise and maintain sincerity, I would have mentioned them by name and described their efforts. Moreover, security considerations also necessitate discretion. We ask Allāh Almighty to bless them, their children, and their wealth, and we hope that this masjid becomes a haven for Ahlus-Sunnah and a source of knowledge for seekers of religious sciences.
