The Ruling on Intercourse Upon Arrival for a Fasting Traveller A man travelled during the daytime in Ramaḍhān but did not take advantage of the concession to break his fast while travelling. Upon arriving at his destination, he had intercourse with his wife. What is the ruling in this case? Sheikh AbdulαΈ₯amΔ«d Az-Zu'kari αΈ₯afidhahullāh says: If he arrived in his own town and then engaged in intercourse during the daytime in Ramaḍhān, he must offer the expiation required for one who has intercourse while fasting in Ramaḍhān. However, if he arrived in another town and was still considered a traveller, there is no blame on him, as he remains under the rulings applicable to a traveller.
