Comparing Wife to The Living vs. The Dead Sheikh Faisal Al-Hashidi hafidahullah said: «لا تقارن بين زوجتك وبين أي امرأة حولها، ولا تضرب لها الأمثال بمن تعاصرها، ولا سيما من تعرف وتألف، وسواء كان بقصد تشجيعها على التأسي بها في الخير والصلاح، أو بدونه، فقد تقودها غيرتها إلى خلاف ما تريد منها، ولا بأس أن تقارنها، أو تضرب لها الأمثال بمن قد ذهبن وهال عليهن التراب». "Don't compare your wife to any woman around her, nor draw parallels between her and those she associates with, especially those she knows and is familiar with. Whether your intention is to encourage her to emulate them in goodness and righteousness or otherwise, such comparisons may provoke jealousy and lead to unintended consequences.
