A Woman's Charm Imam Adh-Dhahabi rahimahullah mentioned that, one day the students of Imam Abdur-Razzaaq As-San’aani knocked on his door forcefully, so he came out to them in anger and said: “By Allah! I will not narrate to you for a month,” so they appealed to him through his neighbours, but he refused! Then, through his friends, but still he refused! So they came to his wife and gave her a gift and asked her to intercede...The following day, he invited them so that he could narrate (to them), and they were astonished that he had accepted and that he was upbeat! He looked at them with a smile and said: ليس الشفيعُ الذي يأتيك مؤتزراً ‏مثلَ الشفيع الذي يأتيك عُريانا. “The intercessor who comes to you covered up is not like the intercessor who comes to you naked.” [Siyar A'laam An-Nubala (9 / 567)] _ #Anecdote_women It's said that some of the righteous people approached the wife of Muhammad ibn Sa'ud (the Ameer of Dir'iyyah at the time) and advised her to speak to her husband about Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abdil-Wahhāb to encourage him to accept his Da'wah and urge him to support and help him, and she was a righteous woman. When her husband entered upon her, she told him, “this is a booty that Allah has brought to you, a man who calls to the religion of Allah, who calls to the Book of Allah, who calls to the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, what a great booty! Hasten to accept him and hasten to support him, and never stop in that.” So the Ameer accepted her advice...and the rest is history.
