Do women have to wash their hair during Ghusl if they've had their hair done up? May Allāh be good to you. A woman spent time and effort beautifying her hair, then she was overcome by that which necessitates ghusl janābah. Is she allowed to wash her body and leave off her hair in order to preserve it, because the water will spoil the beautification? Please advise us, may Allāh reward you. πŸ‘ŒπŸ½Answered by Sheikh MuαΈ₯ammad Ba Jammāl - αΈ₯afiḍhahullāh: β€œHer prayer is invalid until she takes a full body wash (which includes washing her hair). And it's not befitting for a Muslimah to look for loopholes/excuses in these obligations through things that have not been enjoined upon her in the first place. Moreover, there's no need to go overboard in terms of beautification and wasting time and effort on that at the expense of her prayer and religion. ➑️@womensbenefits
