Don't talk too much!
Some of the Salaf would refrain from accepting narrations from certain narrators due to their excessive talking
Al-'Aquyli narrated in "Aḍ-Ḍu'afā" with a strong chain of transmission, that:
Muḥammad ibn 'Isa narrated to us, saying: 'Amr ibn 'Ali narrated to us, saying: Umayyah ibn Khālid narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us, saying: I said to Al-Ḥakam, "Why did you not take narrations from Zādhān?" He replied, "He was excessively talkative."
