Face painting Questioner: May Allah be good to you. The questioner asks, what is the ruling on face painting for children? Please advise us, may Allah reward you. Sheikh Suleiman Ar-Ruhayli, may Allah grant him success, responds "If it is done using removable paint, does not involve depiction of living beings, does not resemble the practices of disbelievers, and does not imitate the actions of the immoral, then it is permissible for a woman to paint a drawing on her child's face to make them laugh or bring them joy. It must not be a depiction of living beings and should be done with removable paint, unlike tattoos that are permanent, and should not resemble the practices of the disbelievers or the immoral. If any of these conditions are not met, then it is not permissible." __ Additionally, the paint must not be harmful to the skin. @womensbenefits
