Before they marry…[Forwarded]

They touched.
They kissed.
They hugged.
They crossed boundaries.
They did almost everything they knew was Ḥarām.
They called it “love.”
Then they got married…
And suddenly, things started going south.
He cheats.
She cheats.
Romance disappears.
Trust is destroyed.
Arguments become normal.
Chaos enters the home.
Eventually…
Divorce.
Then they come online and write long threads, diaries, podcasts and essays about how “people are terrible,” how “love is dead,” and how they were “unlucky in marriage.”
But sometimes, before blaming everyone else, we need to honestly examine how the relationship began.
Not every failed marriage is because the couple dated before marriage—marriages can fail for many reasons. But if a relationship is built from the beginning on disobedience to Allah ﷻ, don't be surprised when you later discover that chemistry alone isn't enough to sustain a marriage.
Marriage needs Taqwā, honesty, loyalty, patience, responsibility, mercy, communication and fear of Allah.
If you truly want someone, don't spend the relationship trying to satisfy your desires.
Protect them. Respect them. Keep it halal.
Because the goal shouldn't simply be:
“I want you.”
It should be:
“I want you in a way that Allah ﷻ is pleased with.”
Choose a relationship that can survive beyond the wedding day—not one that burns itself out before the wedding even begins.
