Advice for the Bride (3)

I would advise her to not focus on her husbands faults or shortcomings. No one is perfect, including the man she marries, and herself. She should overlook anything that isn't major or needs to be addressed, and focus instead on fulfilling her own obligations, for she will not be held accountable for his mistakes or shortcomings, but she will be held accountable for her own.
And true ḥusnul-khuluq is in overlooking, as mentioned in Lāmiyat ibn al-Wardī:
"And overlook matters, for none has ever won praise except the one who overlooks."
and The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said in a ḥadīth narrated by Al-Bukhārī and Muslim on the authority of ibn Masʿūd (may Allah be pleased with him):
"Verily, after me you will see selfishness and matters that you will reject. Give them their due right, and ask Allāh for your right."
And our beloved mother ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) says in Al-Bukhārī (6853) describing the Prophet ﷺ:
"I never saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ seek retribution for an injustice inflicted upon him at all, so long as the prohibitions of Allāh were not violated. But if anything of Allāh’s prohibitions was violated, he was the most intense of them in anger regarding that. And he was never given a choice between two matters except that he chose the easiest of them, unless it was a sin."
So overlook all trivial matters, and know that all matters of the dunyā are trivial.
