Seeking Halāl Employment: The Challenge of Video Interviews Question: I am a revert sister. My family currently practises siαΈ₯r and uses it to seek revenge, amongst other things. I have been trying to get married since 2024 but thus far have not had success. My family is not able to support me financially so I need to find a means of supporting myself. Relying on zakāh until I'm able to get married does not seem to be a sustainable solution. At the same time, finding αΈ₯alāl jobs is not easy, especially when trying to avoid ikhtilāṭ and ribā. Since I have a degree, I thought of applying for jobs in Saudi. This would, in shāʾ Allāh, allow me to leave a harmful environment and support myself. However, many jobs require video-call interviews. This is not unique to Saudi as I have faced the same issue previously. My question is how to navigate this? I am convinced that live video transmission falls under taαΉ£wΔ«r. Because of that, I am struggling to see a way out of this situation. What would you advise in such a case?
