When You Hear Negative Claims About Someone Enquiry: Someone I know has been accused of wrongdoing. How should I respond? Advice: Whenever allegations and rumours arise, respond with C.A.U.T.I.O.N. C — Check authenticity before believing or sharing. A — Asess the context. U — Understand that there are always two sides to a story. T — Think before reacting. I — Ignore what does not benefit your deen. O — Observe restraint. Do not rush to speak, react, or take sides before the truth becomes clear. N — Never pass on rumours or hearsay.
