Does touching a woman invalidate wuḍū according to the Shāfiʿī madh-hab? Sheikh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ Al-ʿUthaymīn answered: “Realistically, I do not personally answer questions from people who ask that the answer is according to the maḏhab of someone who is not obligatory to follow, regardless of whether that is the maḏhab of al-Shāfiʿī, or al-Imām Aḥmad, or al-Imām Mālik, or Imām Abū Ḥanīfah. Because that which is obligatory upon a Muslim is to ask for the guidance of the Prophet ﷺ, as he is the one who is obligatory to follow, not for me to ask for the maḏhab of so-and-so or so-and-so.” [Fatāwá Nūrun ʿalá ʾl-Darb 7/2] ➡️@womensbenefits
