𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 (540)

Is it permissible to have more than one marriage meeting? Shaykh Al-ʿAllāmah Ibn ʿUthaymīn (may Allāh have mercy on him) said in Ash-Sharḥ Al-Mumtiʿ (21/12): His statement, ‘repeatedly’, means that it is permissible for him to look at her more than once. This is based on his ﷺ statement: ‘If one of you proposes to a woman and is able to look at that which will encourage him to marry her, then let him do so.’ If, on the first occasion, he does not find what encourages him to marry her, then let him look a second time, and a third.” End quote
