A Muslimah is not Anti-Polygyny Some women are overtaken by their emotions and begin uttering vile statements when other sisters wish to practice polygyny, or even when polygyny is discussed. Why? Don't you know dear sister that it is not permissible for a muslimah, especially a salafiyyah, to behave like this? Don't you know that we must have faith in and be content with the SharΔ«ΚΏah of Allāh, the Majestic, the Most High? The scholars have stated that it is not permissible for us to hate or dislike this practice that Allāh, the Exalted and Most High, has prescribedβ€”except for a natural dislike that women may experience. However, harbouring hatred toward the SharΔ«ΚΏah, or saying that it is inappropriate, unjust, or referring to discussions on the topic with statements such as β€œpoly vomit,” as some women may utter, or similar remarksβ€”this is not permissible. If a woman makes such statements deliberately, while fully aware and conscious of what she is saying, then she must repent and seek forgiveness. These are extremely grave statements that can take a person out of the fold of Islām. Beware of thisβ€”beware! We must be very cautious about uttering such statements.
