𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 (523)

A Major Sin: Anal Intercourse It is reported in Sunan At-Tirmidhi with an authentic chain from Ibn ʿAbbas (may Allāh be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Allāh does not look at a man who has intercourse with a man or with a woman in her anus.” Explanation: This ḥadīth indicates that engaging in intercourse with a woman in her anus is one of the major sins, as the Prophet ﷺ stated that Allāh does not look at the person who does this. It is also reported in Musnad Ahmad with an authentic chain: “Whoever has intercourse with a menstruating woman or with a woman in her anus has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad ﷺ.” And likewise: “Cursed is the one who has intercourse with his wife in her anus.” (1) The term “intercourse” here refers to sexual intercourse. Prominent scholars such as Adh-Dhahabi, Ibn Al-Qayyim, Ibn An-Nuḥās, Al-Ḥaytami, Al-Hajjawi, and As-Saffārīni — may Allāh have mercy on them — have all classified this act among the major sins.
