وصاحب نصوحا تُسرّ به * ففيه الوضوح إذا بصّرك
Keep the company of a sincere person who brings you joy; in him there is clarity when he gives you guidance.
وان حَلّ خَطبٌ تضيق به * أعانك من بعد ما صبّرك
And if a serious hardship occurs and overwhelms you, he will help you after he has made you patient.
