Marrying a Person of Innovation Sheikh Sulayman Ar-Ruhaili hafidahullah states: Likewise, according to the more correct opinion, compatibility (kafā’ah) in soundness of religious belief is a necessary condition. As such, it is not permissible for a Sunni woman to be married off to a man from among the people of innovation, especially those associated with manifest innovations such as the Khawārij and similar groups. Nor is it permissible for a Sunni man to marry a woman from among those with manifest innovations. It has been reported that Imām AαΈ₯mad (may Allāh have mercy on him) was informed of a marriage between a man from the people of innovation and a woman from Ahlus-Sunnah, and he rejected the validity of the marriage. Therefore, the required compatibility pertains to only two matters: chastity and soundness of religious belief. Beyond these, there is no requirement for compatibility, and those who claim otherwise do so without any valid evidence. https://t.me/womensbenefits/1270
