Walking Barefoot Outdoors
The questioner asks whether it is permissible for a woman to walk outside the house without shoes, on the pretext that she is emulating the Prophet ο·Ί, who walked with sandals and barefoot.
Sheikh Yahya αΈ₯afidhahullΔh:
There is no objection, unless this exposes her feet to men, which is not appropriate. If she is in a place where there are no men present or where her feet will not be exposed to them, there is no objection, whether she is inside or outside the house. Especially if her intention is to follow the Prophet ο·Ί, she will be rewarded.
We say that if her feet are exposed, this is not permissible because the Prophet ο·Ί said:
((Ψ§ΩΩ

"The woman is 'Awrah."
