Get someone else to breastfeed your new born for the first 2/3 days Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله stated: «يَنْبَغِي أَن يكون رضَاع الْمَوْلُود من غير أمه بعد وَضعه يَوْمَيْنِ أَو ثَلَاثَة وَهُوَ الأجود لما فِي لَبنهَا ذَلِك الْوَقْت من الغلظ والأخلاط بِخِلَاف لبن من قد اسْتَقَلت على الرَّضَاع وكل الْعَرَب تعتني بذلك حَتَّى تسترضع أَوْلَادهَا عِنْد نسَاء الْبَوَادِي كَمَا استرضع النَّبِي صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم فِي بني سعد». “The child should be breastfed by someone other than his mother, two or three days after birth. That is better because her milk after that time will be thick and contain different ingredients, unlike the milk of one who has been breastfeeding for a while.
