It is also advisable to read the book Al-Jawāb Al-Kāfī liman Sa’ala ʿan Ad-Dawā’ Ash-Shāfī, also known as Ad-Dā’ wa Ad-Dawā’, by the eminent scholar Ibn Al-Qayyim (may Allāh have mercy on him). He therein prescribes the cure for the ailment of passionate love (ʿishq) and details the effects and consequences of sins — and he did so with excellence and great benefit, may Allāh have mercy upon him.
