Ruling on Accompanying Female Relatives Who Do Not Observe Proper Modesty Question: My female relatives are not properly practicing, such as my aunt, and also my non-Muslim mother. They uncover their faces and even go further in tabarruj, such as wearing perfume, makeup, and certain types of clothing. Is it Haram for me to go out with themβ€”for example, to have a meal together or to travel with them in a carβ€”on the basis that I would be encouraging them to go out? Similarly, if my mother says, β€œMeet me here at the restaurant for lunch, or do this and that, or come with me to the supermarket,” must I refuse on this basis in order to prevent her from having a reason to leave the house? Sheikh Najeeb Ash-Shar’abi αΈ₯afidhahullāh: Yes. If her going out is accompanied by something prohibited, you should not assist her in that matter. ------ Question: What is the ruling on taking an aunt (paternal or maternal) who does not cover her face to the airport or similar places by car? Sheikh Najeeb Ash-Shar’abi αΈ₯afidhahullāh: If she is elderly or infirm, there is no harm. Source: https://t.me/qweasdzxcmnblkjpoik/5556
