Broadcasting the Imam for Women’s Prayer Areas Question: Is it permissible to set up a screen for the imam so that women in their separate prayer area (not inside the masjid, but in another building) can follow the prayer β€” if the electricity were to go out, would this be allowed so that they could continue following the imam? Sheikh Najeeb Ash-Shar’abi αΈ₯afidhahullāh: Tasweer is forbidden... It is not permissible to install a camera in the men’s prayer hall to record or stream the imam under the pretext that it enables women to follow him in case the electricity fails. Whether the display screen is in the women’s prayer area within the masjid or in an adjacent building, this remains impermissible and contrary to the sanctity of the masjid. And Allāh is the One whose help is sought. If the electricity goes out during the prayer and it becomes impossible to follow the imam, the matter is simple: the proper course is to make the intention to pray independently from the imam and complete the prayer individually. Praise be to Allāh. Source: https://t.me/qweasdzxcmnblkjpoik/4144
