The Ruling on a Woman Leaving Her Home While Carrying a Perfumed Child Question: Some women leave their homes while carrying their child, and the child has perfume on him, the scent of which men can perceive. What is the ruling on this act? Sheikh Rashād Adh-Dhali'ee αΈ₯afidhahullāh: It is not permissible for her to do so, for women are prohibited from wearing perfume when leaving their homes. If she applies perfume to her child and then carries him, causing the same scent to spread, it leads to the same effect and thus falls under the same prohibition.
