𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 (85)

Women are half as much as men in five matters In his explanation of Sunan Abī Dāwūd [23/334, according to Shāmilah], Sheikh ’Abdul-Muḥsin Al-’Abbād ḥafidhahullāh said: “... It is established in the Qur'ān and Sunnah that women are half as much as men in five matters: 1⃣. INHERITANCE; the male has the same share as two females. 2⃣. MANUMISSION; a man has to free two women in order to save himself from the Hellfire. 3⃣. WITNESS TESTIMONY; two female witnesses are equate to one male witness. 4⃣. BLOOD MONEY; a woman's Diyah (blood money/ ransom) is half of a man's. 5⃣. ‘AQĪQAH; the boy has two sheeps slaughtered on his behalf whereas a girl has one. In these five matters, women are half as much as men.”
