BENEFIT 73: Jaabir Ibn Abdillaah

3- perform Ramal in the first 3 rounds only; Ramal is to take quick, short steps. This sunnah is also specific to men.
4- you should touch the Yemeni corner with your hand each time you go round, without kissing.
5- the closer you are to the Ka'bah the better, but Tawaaf can be done anywhere within the masjid.
* After you have completed the Tawaaf, you should look for a suitable space behind Maqaam Ibrahim to perform 2 voluntary units. When you are walking to this space you should recite the Āyah:

'UMRAH SUMMARISED
_
STEP 1 -
ENTER INTO IHRAAM
(this is the 1st pillar of 'Umrah)
* Ihraam is a spiritual state a person enters prior to performing 'Umrah & Hajj.
Two important issues related to Ihraam:
The first- you must enter into Ihraam before crossing the Meeqaat (the designated points set by the Prophet ﷺ)
The second- once in the state of Ihraam, there are 10 prohibitions which must be avoided:

BENEFIT 72: EASY ZAKAH CALCULATION
When one's annual savings exceeds the threshold (Nisaab), they have to give 2.5% of the total amount towards Zakah.
The easiest way to calculate 2.5% is to divide the total amount by 40.
For example:
2.5% of £5000
=
£5000 ÷ 40 = £125
£125 is the amount I must give to charity.
"We used to seek knowledge in the masaajid, then schools were opened, so the barakah departed; then, chairs were introduced, so the humility departed; then, certificates were introduced, so the sincerity departed."
BENEFIT 71: WHY YEMEN?
In Yemen there are several centres of knowledge teaching authentic Islamic sciences based on the understanding of the early Muslims (Salaf As-Salih). So, if the rutoobah (humidity) of Haami is unsuitable, you can easily relocate to Seiyun, Hawta, Haswain, Ghaydha, Dhali' or elsewhere, where a salafi markaz is situated.
- there are no admin or monthly subscription fees, no passport pictures…
BENEFIT 70: MOTIVATIONAL ARABIC PROVERB
During my Dammaji days, I remember Sheikh Yahya hafidhahullah frequently repeating the following proverb:
((مَا لَا يُدْرَكُ كُلُّهُ لَا يُتْرَكُ جُلُّهُ))
"Whatever cannot be attained in its entirety should not be abandoned entirely."
For example:
*- if you cannot sit under the scholars on a permanent basis, then at least try to visit them temporarily.
Here's what…
BENEFIT 69: Differences between Adhaan and iqaamah
1. Adhaan is an announcement for the prayer entrance time, whereas the iqaamah is a notification for the commencement of the actual prayer
2. The words of the Adhaan are repeated twice, whereas the words of the iqaamah are uttered only once - with the exception of:
قد قامت الصلاة
3. The Adhaan is pronounced in a slow and graceful manner, whereas the iqaamah is…
The last two benefits (67 & 68) are contentious issues amongst the scholars. I have relayed what I see to be the strongest views, and Allah knows best.
BENEFIT 68: THE BEST CREATION
Sheikh Albāni raḥimahullāh said:

“Mankind, as we all know, is favoured over all of creation. [Allah Almighty said, in what is translated to mean] “Indeed,…
BENEFIT 67: THE FIRST CREATION
‘Imrān ibn Hussein radhiyallāhu 'anhu narrated that some people from Yemen asked the Prophet ﷺ about how the matter was from the very beginning. He said: “There was Allāh and nothing existed before Him, and His Throne was on the water. Then He created the heavens and the earth, and He wrote all things in Al-Lawḥ al-Maḥfūdh.”
[Al-Bukāri (7418)]
Shaykh ‘Uthaymīn raḥimahullāh said:…
BENEFIT 66: THE 'ARSH IS THE HEAVIEST CREATION
Juwairiyah bint Al-Ḥārith radhiyallāhu 'anhā, the Mother of the Believers, reported that, the Prophet ﷺ came out from my apartment in the morning as I was busy performing the dawn prayer. He came back in the forenoon and found me still sitting there. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Are you still in the same position as I left you." I replied in the affirmative. Thereupon the…
BENEFIT 65: THE 'ARSH IS THE LARGEST CREATION
Allāh the Almighty said:
{...وَهُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡعَظِیمِ}
“...And He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.”
[Sūrah At-Tawbah 129]
Al-Qurṭubi raḥimahullāh commented in his tafsīr:
“He (The Almighty) singled out the 'Arsh (even though He is the Lord of everything) because it is the largest creation.”
Similarly, Ibn 'Abbās radhiyallāhu 'anhu said:
“No one can…
BENEFIT 64: THE 'ARSH IS THE HIGHEST CREATION
It was narrated that Ibn Mas’ūd radhiyallāhu 'anhu said:
“Between the first heaven and the one above it is (a distance of) five hundred years. And between each of the heavens is (a distance of) five hundred years. Between the seventh heaven and the Kursi (footstool) is (a distance of) five hundred years. Between the Kursi and the water is (a distance of) five hundred…

BENEFIT 63: The difference between مَيْتٌ (with a sukoon on the yaa) and مَيِّتٌ (with a shaddah on the ya)
Sheikh Abū Bilāl mentioned the following benefit in one of the tafsīr classes:
Mayyit (مَيِّتٌ) is used in reference to a living creature that is awaiting death. We see this meaning clearly in Allāh's saying while addressing His Messenger ﷺ:
{إِنَّكَ مَیِّتࣱ وَإِنَّهُم مَّیِّتُونَ}
“You ˹O Prophet˺ will…

BENEFIT 62: RULING ON SAVING A SPOT IN THE MASJID (حَجْز)
Sheikh Abū Bilāl ḥafidhahullāh clarified this mas'alah in one of the classes as some of the new students would save a spot in the masjid and leave for long periods, preventing others from utilising that space.
He - ḥafidhahullāh - said:
THERE ARE THREE OPINIONS:
1⃣st: It is permissible to save a spot in the masjid, regardless of whether the space is…
BENEFIT 61: My Alarm clock is not doing its job
Aṣbagh ibn Zaid Al-Wāṣiṭī raḥimahullāh reported that:
Sa'īd ibn Jubayr (D. 95 H.) had a rooster whose screaming would wake him up at night. However, one night Sa'īd did not wake up to pray until morning. This was so difficult upon him that he said (supplicating against the rooster): 'What's wrong with it, may Allāh cut its voice.' Afterwards, its voice was never…
BENEFIT 60: HOW DID THE SALAF WAKE UP FOR FAJR WHEN THERE WERE NO ALARM CLOCKS BACK THEN?
On the authority of Zayd ibn Khālid Al-Juhani radhiyallāhu 'anhu that the Prophet ﷺ said:
((لَا تَسُبُّوا الدِّيكَ فَإِنَّهُ يُوقِظُ لِلصَّلَاةِ))
“Do not curse the rooster for it wakens (people) for prayer.”
[Abu Dawūd].
