What is the ruling on lightening the beard, Shaykh?
Sheikh Salih Al-FawzΔn αΈ₯afidhahullΔh:
"My brother, the beard is not heavy β praise be to AllΔh. It is one of your bodily features, an adornment for you, and a distinguishing mark between you and women, so leave it as it is. The Prophet ο·Ί commanded that it be grown, allowed to lengthen, and left to grow naturally. It is a form of beauty granted to you, so thank AllΔh for it. And do not follow those who take the matter of the beard lightly, who feel irritated by it, or who imitate those who shave or trim it β do not imitate them!β
