Your Circle Determines Your Value
Sheikh Dagash Al-'Ajmi hafidhahullah said:
"Your value is where you place yourself. The place where you put yourself may be among people who have value, status, and standing in society—people who are respected, known for goodness and righteousness, and known for good qualities. In that case, your value becomes like the value of those you are with. But when you place yourself with people who are only known for corruption, or people who have no value in society, or people whom society does not like, then you lower your own value to the level of those people.
That is why I tell you: tell me who you keep company with, and I will tell you who you are.
