Missing The Congregation
Ibn ’Asākir raḥimahullāh said:
«ما فاتت أحداً صلاة الجماعة إلا بذنب أصابه»
"No one misses a congregational prayer except due to a sin they have committed."
[تاریخ دمشق ١٤١/٣٤]
Ḥātim Al-Aṣamm raḥimahullāh said:
«مصيبة الدِّين أعظم من مصيبة الدنيا، ولقد ماتت لي بنت فعزاني أكثر من عشرة آلاف، وفاتتني صلاة الجماعة فلم يعزني أحد»
"The calamity affecting one's religion is greater than the calamity affecting one's Dunya. I once lost a daughter and received condolences from more than ten thousand people, yet when I missed a congregational prayer, no one offered me any condolences."
