Boredom with Loved Ones Is a Sign of Bad Character
It has been said: Whoever gets bored of his friend, his brother, or his wife is a person of bad character, with poor manners and little respect.
Amr ibn Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
βI do not get tired of my clothes as long as they still fit me. I do not get tired of my wife as long as she treats me well. I do not get tired of my riding animal as long as it carries me. Boredom is a sign of bad character.β [Tarikh Dimashq]
So do not get tired of your brother, for he is your protection. And do not get tired of your wife, for she is your close companion.
