Provide Her Needs Without Taking Her to the Market
Question:
Is it permissible for me to go with my wife to the market to buy her things?
Sheikh Rashad Adh-Dhali'ee:
Let her remain at home and you buy them for her. Allah, the Most High, says: βAnd remain in your homes.β
So a woman is encouraged to remain in her home. What is the need to take her to the market? You should buy what she needs and take it to the house.
A woman is instructed to remain in her home and to stay settled in it. After performing Hajj withyhis wives, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: βThis, thereafter remain in the houses,β meaning stay in them.
So a woman stays in her home, and her husband is responsible for her and brings her needs to the house.
