5: Covering the Head and Not Uncovering It
Narrated from Jābir:
The Prophet ﷺ entered the Day of the Conquest of Makkah wearing a black turban.
And narrated from ʿAmr ibn Ḥarith:
The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ addressed the people while wearing a black turban.
[Reported by Muslim 1358]
Shaykh Al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah said: “Uncovering the head and braiding or styling the hair is not a practice of any of the righteous, neither the Companions, nor the Followers, nor the scholars of Islam.” [Majmūʿ Al-Fatāwā 11/494]
