Sheikh สฟUthaymฤซn's Advice to Husbands He (may Allฤh have mercy on him) said: โ€œThe remedy for disputes between spouses is not to expel the wife from the house to her familyโ€”this only exacerbates the matter. Rather, the husband should show kindness and affection to his wife and forgive her faults. It is also incumbent upon a man to be a true man in the proper sense of the word. Therefore, I advise our brothers that whenever conflicts or misunderstandings arise between them and their wives, the man should exercise patience, bear with the situation, and treat the woman as she rightly deserves, in accordance with the guidance of the Messenger of Allฤh (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah ๏ทบ said: "Treat women well, for a woman is created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its top. If you attempt to straighten it, you will break it, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked. So treat women well." [Sahih Al-Bukhari, 3331] I am confident that if a man obeys Allฤh and His Messenger in his treatment of his household, Allฤh will transform any animosity or ill-will in her heart into love and devotion. Allฤh, the Exalted, says: โ€œNot equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon the one between whom and you there was enmity will become as though he was a devoted friend.โ€ [Surah Fussilat, 41:34] Indeed, hearts are in the hands of Allฤh. Respond with that which is best, and circumstances will change, by the will of Allฤh.โ€ [Al-Liqฤโ€™ Ash-Shahri, 38 / Masฤwฤซโ€™ Al-Akhlฤq]
