❄️ Early Winter Reminders ❄️

1⃣. Winter is “the season of the righteous” because nights are long (good for praying) and days are short (easy for fasting).
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting in winter is a cold (easy) reward.”
You can think of it as having an early breakfast and a late lunch
2⃣. Even if the water is cold, making full ablution (wudu’) properly is rewarded greatly.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Perfecting wudu’ in hardship erases sins and raises ranks.”
Don’t rush — wash every part correctly.
3⃣. Many people oversleep and miss Fajr prayer because of the cold. But the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever prays the two cold prayers (Fajr and Asr) will enter Paradise.”
Those who go to the masjid in the dark are promised complete light on the Day of Judgment.
4⃣. Islam allows wiping over socks instead of washing feet in cold weather, if they:
1. are worn in a state of wudu’.
2. cover the ankles.
3. are clean and lawful.
4. are with the time limit (1 day for residents, 3 days for travelers) is followed.
5⃣. Be thankful for warm clothes and homes, and remember those who don’t have them.
The Prophet ﷺ used to say when going to bed: “Praise be to Allāh who fed us, gave us drink, provided us shelter and clothing.”
6⃣. Winter is a time to help the poor and needy, share warmth, clothes, and food.
Muslims should care for one another like a single body — when one part hurts, all feel it.
