𝗗𝗵𝘂𝗹-𝗛𝗶𝗷𝗷𝗮𝗵 | ذُو ٱلْحِجَّة

Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah raḥimahullāh said: «أيام عشر ذي الحجة أفضل من أيام العشر من رمضان، وليالي العشر الأواخر من رمضان أفضل من ليالي عشر ذي الحجة» "The (first) ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are more virtuous than the (last) ten days of (the blessed month of) Ramaḍān, and the last ten nights of Ramaḍān are more virtuous than the (first) ten nights of Dhul-Hijjah." Imām Ibn al-Qayyim raḥimahullāh commented and said: «إذا تأمل الفاضل اللبيب هـذا الجواب، وجده شافياً كافياً» "If the virtuous and intelligent one was to reflect upon this answer, he would find it satisfactory and sufficient." [بدائع الفوائد (۱۱۰۲۱۳)] Sheikh Ibn ’Uthyameen raḥimahullāh said: "And strange is that people are unaware of the virtue of ten days of Dhul Hijjah. You will see them striving in the last 10 days of Ramaḍān with good deeds, but during Dhul Hijjah you would find almost none of them making any difference between these virtues 10 days and other normal days (i.e he does not make any special effort for Dhul Hijjah)." [Majmū’ Al-Fatāwa] Ibn Rajab raḥimahullāh said: "The voluntary acts of worship performed during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are superior to voluntary acts of worship performed during the last ten days of Ramaḍān. Similarly, the obligatory worships performed during the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are multiplied manyfold and raised compared to obligatory worship performed during any other days."
