The local community have been asking for a simple and convenient way to contribute to the masjid. As a result, one of the community members (may Allah reward him) kindly invested in two donation kiosks. The kiosks are simply another way of processing donations, much like providing the masjid’s bank details for anyone who wishes to make a transfer. They’re there as an option for whoever wants to contribute, without anyone being approached or pressured to donate. I also asked Shaykh Daghash Al-‘Ajmi hafidhahullah specifically whether leaving the card machine near the entrance would be considered begging, and he said that it would not.
