Class Summary:
س. مَا هُوَ وَاجِبُنَا تُجَاهَ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ؟
Q: What is our duty toward the companions of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)?
ج. وَاجِبُنَا أَنْ نَذْكُرَهُمْ بِخَيْرٍ وَنَدْعُوَ لَهُمْ وَنُحِبَّهُمْ وَنَقْتَدِيَ بِهِمْ. وَالدَّلِيلُ: قَالَ اللهُ تَعَالَى: {وَالَّذِينَ جَاءُو مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَيْنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلَّا لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمُ}
A: Our duty is to speak well of them, pray for them, love them, and follow their example. Proof: Allah the Most High says: “Those who came after them say: ‘Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who came before us in faith, and do not place in our hearts any hatred toward those who believe. Our Lord, You are Kind and Merciful.’”
