Don’t Lose Momentum
A brother says:
“I was active and motivated at the beginning of Ramadhan, but towards the end I became tired and lazy. What advice do you have?”
Sheikh Rashad Adh-Dhali'ee:
One of the wisdoms of Allah is that He made the end of this month better than its beginning. This is because people naturally get bored and lose energy over time. If the beginning were better, people would work hard at first and then lose motivation by the end. But since the end is better, it encourages you to increase your good deeds.
What should motivate you is to remember the great reward in these days and nights. There is an immense blessing in them, which helps a person stay active and strive harder, hoping to gain that goodness.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever stands in prayer on Laylat Al-Qadr with faith and seeking reward will have all their previous sins forgiven.”
So just one night can lead to the forgiveness of past sins for the one who prays sincerely and with hope for reward. Therefore, a Muslim should strive hard during these nights.
