The Sunnah of ʾIfṭār
📌 Hastening ʾIfṭār
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The religion will not cease to prevail so long as people hasten to break their fast, because the Jews and Christians delay.”
📌 The Best ʾIfṭār
Anas رضي الله عنه reported:
“The Prophet ﷺ used to break his fast with fresh dates, if he didn’t find fresh dates then he would eat dry dates and if he did not find this, he would sip some water.”
📌 Virtue of Providing ʾIfṭār
The Messenger ﷺ said:
Whoever provides ʾIfṭār for a fasting person will receive the same reward as the fasting person, without anything being diminished from the reward of the fasting person.”
